The French Cluster AGRI SUD-OUEST INNOVATION, ASOI, partner of the Nouvelle-Aquitaine and Occitanie regions, joins the S3 Traceability and Big Data Community.

ASOI located in the South-West of France in the border with Spain, is positioned on the Agrifood sector from production to consumer.

Regions Nouvelle-Aquitaine, Occitanie and ASOI share the same objective set out in their S3 roadmaps: to support agrifood companies in their digital transformation, to gain competitiveness and access new markets by animating and relying on competent actors, French but also European clusters, research organizations, training bodies, technical centers and socio-economic actors.

With its 400 members, more than half of whom are SMEs, the cluster relies on actors with strong digital skills such as:

  • Technology providers and digital solutions: producers of smart sensors, DST, Data, etc.
  • Agro-equipment manufacturers: producers of production machines, producers of robots, etc.
  • Integrators: integrating smart sensors into the production line of agri-food companies
  • Research and training organizations (DigitAg, Chaire Agrotic Service, the House of remote sensing Theia Geosud)

In addition, ASOI is already heavily involved and partner in European cluster networks, such as the Plant Inter Cluster on the plant sector federating 12 euroclusters; some of which participate in the S3 Traceability and Big Data Platform, on European projects such as DIVA  (Boosting innovative Digitech Value chains for Agrofood, Forestry and Environment) that ASOI coordinated with all partners were developing digital and agrifood tools.

The cluster and the regions of Nouvelle-Aquitaine and Occitanie, due to the richness and excellence of their entrepreneurial and scientific ecosystem are therefore enthusiastic to join the Traceability and Big Data Platform community, to share its know-how and skills, to exchange with other clusters on good practices, to identify potential partnerships on European projects, and to develop its European network for the benefit of its memberships.
