Brussels welcomed the second edition of the European Digital Innovation Hubs (EDIH) Network Summit on 26 and 27 November. The event brought together key stakeholders from the European Digital Innovation Hubs (EDIH) network, including representatives from various thematic working groups (such as the agrifood one), national authorities, and expert groups.
This year, the summit aimed to provide first-rate information on key topics such as Artificial Intelligence challenges across multiple sectors, including agrifood, as well as to facilitate in-depth discussions on practical topics through good practices for digital transformation and innovative solutions across multiple areas including agrifood, construction, cybersecurity, digital health, and smart connectivity.
Attendees had the opportunity to participate in workshops, panel discussions, and networking sessions designed to foster collaboration and share best practices.
In addition, the EDIH Network Awards Ceremony recognised the most outstanding success stories of the network in four specific categories: Green Digitalisation, Human-Centred AI, Digital Skills and Collaboration with other EDIHs or European Initiatives. An additional People's Choice category awarded two EDIHs involved within Traceability & Big Data: Aragon EDIH and T4E, both from the Spanish regions of Aragon and Extremadura. The HealthHub Finland EDIH won the Digital Skills award; it provides transversal services through different units that are also involved in the Traceability and Big Data Thematic Partnership through the regions of Satakunta and Northern Ostrobothnia.
