The Interoperability Working Group revamps

The latest meeting of the Interoperability Working Group took place on 20th February. It brought together experts and stakeholders from six Traceability & Big Data regions to discuss the pressing need for improved interoperability in the sector. Participants explored strategies to enhance data standardization and integration in Digital Farming, aiming to create a more connected and efficient agricultural supply chain.

One of the key takeaways from the meeting was the importance of leveraging real-world case studies to illustrate the benefits of interoperability. Participants were encouraged to share practical examples where standardized data exchange has led to improved efficiency and decision-making. These insights will serve as a foundation for identifying priority areas where enhanced connectivity can drive innovation and sustainability.

Engaging a broader network of technical stakeholders is also a priority, with calls for increased participation from both public institutions and private companies. The goal is to foster an environment where data-driven solutions can be scaled effectively across the industry. Then, stakeholders aiming at joining this Working Group are invited to contribute by submitting their experience via a dedicated online survey, ensuring a collaborative and inclusive approach.

Moving forward, the group will focus on developing a win-win strategy, building on past experiences and successful interventions. The working group encourages all interested parties to contribute their insights and experiences.
