The European Digital Innovation Hub (EDIH) network is funded under the DIGITAL programme to support the uptake of advanced digital technologies by businesses and the public sector.
In order to monitor the performance of the network, the DIGITAL programme has defined a set of key performance indicators (KPIs). One of those is the increase in digital maturity of organisations that have used the services of the EDIH network (enterprises & public sector organisations). For this purpose the European Commission (Joint Research Centre) has developed a Digital Maturity Assessment (DMA) framework for SMEs customers of EDIHs. This framework assesses the overall digital maturity level of an enterprise (SME) along six dimensions focused on digital business strategy, digital readiness, human-centric digitalisation, data management, automation & intelligence and green digitalisation.
The first prototype version of the DMA was launched in December and is now available online providing basic access to the DMA questionnaire for SMEs. It aims to create awareness and to provide a practising environment to the EDIHs and the SMEs community for the use of the tool. This version will not permit data saving but a pdf export with the completed questionnaire and the results will be available for every submission.
