The SmartAgriHubs project has already published in its website all the information related to the three different types of open calls launched by the consortium, which are RESPOND, RESTART and EXPAND.
The main objective of these open calls is to expand the existing SmartAgriHubs community network with additional stakeholders and promoting the realisation of new innovation experiments. Due to this current COVID-19 situation the project wants to cover the different steps the agrifood economy has to face now. For that, the RESPOND open call, which is just near to its closure date (3rd June), is directly devoted to SMEs too, in addition to DIHs. Projects under this open call are expected to be implemented during the second half of this year.
RESTART is more focused on giving support to DIHs in the organisation of hackathons so they can contribute in the reactivation of the agrifood economy in the mid-term.
And the last one, EXPAND, has an eye on the long-term. This open call will fund the implementation of DIHs programmes supporting Innovation Experiments.
Both, RESTART and EXPAND open calls are planned to be launched by next July and to close latest on July, 31st 2021 – 17:00 CEST or at an earlier date, in case the Open Call budget is completely allocated.
All proposers have to be registered in the SmartAgriHubs Innovation Portal to submit a proposal for RESTART and EXPAND. You can register and have more information about these open calls at https://www.smartagrihubs.eu/portal/open-call.
SmartAgriHubs will realise a focused open call for hackathon type of activities that will RESTART the economy around the agri-food related sectors and affected food systems.
The funding conditions to RESTART the Economy around Food Systems will be published in due time, as this open call is planned to be launched by July 2020.
The major amount of funding will be assigned to the implementation of programmes by DIHs to support the realisation of Innovation Experiments. This shall specifically contribute to the expansion of the network of DIHs and CCs as well as making available new knowledge and results from digital innovation activities.
The funding conditions to EXPAND the Network will be published in due time, as this open call is planned to be launched by July 2020.
